Notice of Overpayment and Demand for Return
To: Yoon, Youngkyu

1. Incident Overview
Mr. Yoon, Youngkyu, you were employed by our company as a Manager and your employment was terminated on January 11, 2025. Upon review of our payroll records for January 2025, we have identified an overpayment of Eighty Thousand Philippine Pesos (PHP 80,000.00) in your final salary. This error occurred because the Gcash transfer was not stopped after you requested and received your final salary in cash.

2. Legal Basis
Under Philippine law, specifically Article 2154 of the Civil Code of the Philippines, "If something is received when there is no right to demand it, and it was unduly delivered through mistake, the obligation to return it arises." This principle, known as solutio indebiti, dictates that a person who receives something by mistake, to which they are not entitled, has a legal obligation to return it.
